Hello,

a bit about me:

Currently,

I am pursuing my Master of Arts in English.

Mrs. Chaney,

College is overwhelming, and no one can ever possibly describe with 100% accuracy just how difficult life can be outside of high school, until you experience it on your own! However, I have learned to embrace all of the experiences as a college student—the good and the bad—because they are valuable life lessons that are shaping my character and moulding me into the man that I am destined to become. Upon arriving in your classroom when we first met, I believed that attending an American high school was going to be the most terrifying life moment for me because, in the beginning, if you recall, I had to learn a new language in a foreign country, and I had no one to rely upon—or so, that’s what I first thought.  However, I learned that my best friends were my high school teachers, and I want to recognize YOU as being the best of them all! You helped me with all of my classes, not just yours—even when you would guide me through interpreting assignment instructions in my math class or editing essays for my social studies class—you taught me. You tutored me in reading, writing, and speaking whenever I asked for assistance. Because of you, I have a better grasp on the English language, but that is not the best lesson that you taught me—motivation was! Motivation: you encouraged me to remain determined and focused even when I thought success was out of my reach; you showed me how to immerse myself in the beautiful English language and practice using it until I mastered it; you inspired me to continue pursuing and achieving my dreams in America, so that in the future I can help people in my home country! It is because of your belief in me and your guidance, I am well-equipped to take regular courses in college now and not remedial ones. I am proud of myself, and I am indebted to you, Mrs. Chaney. Thank you for teaching me and loving me. Thank you for investing in my life; I assure you that you have touched the hearts of many students over the years.

Frenship High School, Class of 2017

I once heard a wise man say, "Find your passion

and make a career out of it,"

so I have!

As a teacher, my role is to build upon the skills that my students have acquired throughout their education, introduce them to several more important skills, and help prepare them for life beyond the walls of their schools. My goal is not merely that they become better readers, writers, and speakers, but, more importantly, that they become highly educated, productive, informed, and contributing citizens of society who can think for themselves and make choices based on logic, sound reasoning, and the ability to decipher facts.

I teach with this philosophy in mind:

"A, B, C, D, F is not an indicator of intelligence;

A, B, C, D, F indicates character."

By the time a student graduates and understands the importance of pursuing objective truths that never change,

I want him to be able to answer the following questions:

What is good?

What is beautiful?

What is my purpose?

My Christian Philosophy of Education

My Biblical Worldview and Integration

Sample Lesson (5th Grade)

Each school year, I look forward to partnering with my students and their families along the journey!

I look forward to being a part

of your team as well.
